Nancy’s Fish
Artist Nancy Browning-Smith is available to bring a unique blend of art and science to your school. While creating vividly painted papier mache sculptures, the children are also introduced to structure, form, habitats and physical and behavioral adaptations. The individual sculptures created by the children allow each child to exuberantly express themselves through the creative process. The finished sculptures will be enjoyed for years to come.
The two week residency can be arranged in two ways:
- Three classes with the artist each day for approximately one hour each for the entire two weeks
- The entire student body works together on several large (between 2 ft. and 5 ft.) fish that stay in the school, with each class spending approximately 1⁄2 hr. with the artist.
