About Browning-Smith Art
Nancy Browning-Smith is available to bring a unique blend of art and science to your school. Through creating vividly painted papier mache sculptures the children find their creative chops. The individual sculptures created by the children allow each child to exuberantly express themselves throughout the process and will be enjoyed for years to come. The children are also introduced to structure, form, habitats, and the physical and behavioral adaptations of the animals they make.
Nancy was raised in the foothills of the Wasatch mountains and spent her summer vacations on the beaches of Southern California where she developed an abiding love for the ocean. She graduated from Weber State University with a minor in Zoology and a love for science.
Nancy has over 30 years experience teaching children and finds great delight in watching kids who think they “can’t do art” find an eye opening confidence in themselves and a lasting realization that art isn’t just about drawing.
